The Center at the Solingen Art Museum

The Center for Persecuted Arts is located in the Solingen Art Museum. The Center for Persecuted Arts Ltd. and the Solingen Art Museum Ltd. share the former city hall of Gräfrath premises dating back to 1907/08. The new building – where the painting collection of the Citizien Foundation for Persecuted Arts and the temporary exhibition rooms are located – was built in 1995/96.

While the Center for Persecuted Arts is dedicated to unknown and forgotten arts, the Art Museum houses the city of Solingen’s collection which is presented as a forum for contemporary art exhibitions.
